It’s time to harvest our garden and put it to bed for the winter. Join local farmer and Master Gardener Leslie Stevens for a workshop about cleaning up the garden while turning the excess plant material into compost. We will talk about what to leave in the garden to help wildlife over the winter and how to prepare the garden for easy planting in the spring. We will also answer questions about backyard composting like what can and cannot go into a compost pile, whether to turn your compost, what is the best container for composting and how to determine when it’s finished.
